This evolution didn’t start in Rio. It builds on the momentum from the 2024 Kazan summit in Russia, the largest BRICS event to date, which expanded collaboration through the BRICS+ format. Rio solidified that foundation, turning ambition into actionable policy and signaling that the Global South is ready to assert its role in shaping a multipolar world.
